I had the same problem with my 02 Sequoia. I opened the rear hatch remove the inner molding and cover and actually tested the motor, which had failed. Yours is probably still under warranty, but to save me the hassle of going to the dealer, I purchased a rear window motor from a 01 4Runner on
ebay for $9.99. I have not heard of the rear windows failing on them, so I figured it was more reliable. It uses the same type of motor, just with a shorter motor housing to lessen the change of moisture entering the unit. Replaced it in about 30 minutes and it works great.
