Power Rear Sliding WIndow
A complete set of instructions should be enclosed with every unit.
Unless you are a "glass installer" by trade, I don't think that you want to tackle the install of the window on your 2005 Tacoma yourself! Not being
familiar w/Tacomas (however, if you read the complete description of each
model slider in Ken's post...), it appears as though the 2005 and newer Tacomas, as well as the Tundras all use the "bonded in" type of rear window. As such, you need specialized experience and tools to remove and install these type of windows. Conversely, it appears as though the 2004 and older Tacomas use a "gasket type" of rear window, whereas you "maneuver" the old gasket around the window frame out of the opening, plase the new unit into the new gasket channel and then "maneuver" the assembly back into the opening (this is how it was on my 1994 Toyota Mini Pick-up...of which I did that CR Laurence Power Slider install myself....).
vr,
Bill
