Sizes of Vehicles?
Hello, I drive the 2002 Tundra Access Cab 4x4 (with V6 5-speed!). It has always been my dream to also own a 4Runner, I've loved it ever since I saw one on the lot in 1987 when I was purchasing my 1987 SR5 Truck. I feel the last generation was the perfect sport ute--perfect size, perfect engine (the 183 horse V6) superb crash test results, and tough, tough, tough, with awesome reliability (and it had a 5-speed!). Now my family is looking for another vehicle to replace our 1995 Honda Accord, I would love to get the 4Runner, (even though it is bigger and dosen't have the manual trans) but the gas mileage is just too low, and I'm not sure I could fit it in our garge with my Tundra. We are looking at the Highlander, which I feel is a damn fine vehicle, but it just dosen't get me excited like the 4Runner does. (We are looking at the 4 Cylinder 4WD version for better gas mileage) Now we have the NEW RAV4, I really like the old one, but it is too small, now it looks like it will be at least as big as the last generation 4Runner, so maybe I need to look closely at this. It really bothers me that the carmakers are always making things bigger, bigger, BIGGER!!! Just look at ANY vehicle, the 4Runner, my Honda Accord, etc. Anyways, any comments on the size of new RAV, or 4Runner and Highlander, I'm always ready to hear about. Cheers, JadeRain
