Yep, I opened the slot and there was not filter. I talked to the "Old and Wise" parts guy and there is no cabin filter part number for the Tacos. I want to try one from a 4runner and see if it fits the Tacomas. If/when I try it I'll post the results.

I heard on here some time ago that the 4Runner filter will fit with minor trimming, some people on here have done it. Looks like an easy mod, here's some pics to help out, this was done using a standard filter from Lowe's
