Bypassing the amp involves connecting a few plugs and a few wires, but $80 isn't too bad if it includes the required wiring harnesses.

The new radio will have a built-in amp, so it will replace the factory amp by itself. Just make sure they leave the OEM amp in, so you can go back to factory if you ever want to.
