i was surprised with the mpg i got.
another thing im remebering know that im talking about mpg is another story.
i had put some gas in the sequoia and as i drove it around town for about 5 minutes and it was sucking gas like crazy ( that day i was driving like my grandma , which is rare for me). i was looking at the monitor at the top and the mile left numbers were going down, at first i thought it was because it wasnt reading right and was going to take some time to come up with the right miles left of gas. i stopped and turned off the car hoping that wil fix the problem. so i did the same 30 mile trip that did today and the numbers where again going down slowly but gradually. after about 10 miles into the drive i was thinking a sensor was wrong, so i got pisssed off at the monitor and turned it off. and i was watching my neddle and it also was moving down quicker thanusual ( sort of like my gas neddle was moving more than my rpm when i stepped on the pedal lol). 5 miles left of the drive and i turn on the monitor and it is still reading like a have a hole in my gas tank. i only pumped about 10 gallons of gas, it had some in there already. the gas neddle was a little over the quarter tank. and when i finished the 30 miles it read 10 miles. so as i pulled out the freeway exit, i stopped driving like my grandma and stepped on the gas and let go, (shortly after the feed me some gas light came on) i b.s. you not instantly the mileage on the monitior started reading right and more accurately. it seemed like all it needed was a good o' step on the gas.
i dont know if this is a early sign of something big? any advice on this would help.
as far as the good mpg does everybody get about 20 mpg at 60mph 2000+rpm?
i have a "tornado" lol. and a k&n filter (i use to have the f.i.p.k. but to loud) .
i usually pump 91 octane. oil change every 5,000-6000 miles mobil 1 full synthetic 5w-30 ( i have about 3,000 on the mobil1 10w-30).
i have been wanting to take out the tornado to see if there is a difference in gas mileage. i never checked for mpg increase i just threw it in, hoping i would get 0.5 rwhp lol.
thanks in advance

First of all that "Tornado" thing is junk, just throw it in the garbage. Second of all your Sequoia is made to run on 87 octane gas and nothing more. It's a waste of money to put anything other then Regular gas in your Sequoia because from what I am told the computer in the truck just adjusts to make the truck think it has regular in it when you put anything but regular in it. The third thing is from what I have herd that miles per gallon thing above your head is not all that accurate but I herd if you hold the 2 outer buttons it resets it. If your going to try any testing using that meter I would reset it each time and at every gas fill up.
I notice a lot of people in the forum spend a lot of time checking and rechecking their gas mileage over and over again. Not that there is anything wrong with it but I would just find it way to

depressing

and no matter what I do I still have to fill it up when the needle gets on E. LOL
