The truck I own is a 93 extra cab 4x4 V6 (3.0) with the 5 speed manual (It says 4runner in my sig but that's b/c they don't have the option on this site to pick 93 P/U). I had stock shocks on my truck up until about 10 K ago when I replaced my shocks with the Bilstein HD's on all 4 wheels. These shocks are really awesome shocks. The ride is firmer, you feel bumps just a tiny bit more, but you have way less body roll, and the truck isn't as phased as much which results in much much much better control of the truck, and much safer handling. The highway ride is also much smoother. However I will admit the stock shocks are a little softer and more comfortable, but remember that not all shocks can do everything well. It's really all about trade offs. The Bilsteins are awesome shocks though. They are firm but not too firm if that's fair to say. I can hammer corners like a sports car if need be (not that I do that but if need be like I said) and the truck doesn't feel like it's going to roll over!
