Default Re: Hellwig sway bar

Received my Helwig from JC Whitney. 159.00 free shipping. Spent about 2 1/2 hours putting it in. Probably 3/4 hr just trying to tighten the stupid plate with the bolt. Couldn't keep it from spinning. Just used a regular nut on the other side w/split washer and locktite. Much simpler solution and less agravation. The locknuts provided are simply too tight for this type of install. The instructions are really poor. It wouldn't take much to provide a decent set of instructions and photos. That said, I did not have any clearance problems with the brake lines or shock mounts, the handling difference is simply amazing. It doesn't feel like the same vehicle. So far the Magnaflow 14586 muffler I had installed last week and the Helwig anti-sway bar have tranformed my Tundra, into a much better personal vehicle. Have nothing but respect for this forum for the information and knowledge of the members here.
