I'll be monitoring this thread. I was thinking about posting the same question.
Will not real off-roading, our family has had some fun driving on the remote forest roads in the Superior National Forest. If you go the Superior Forest Visitors Map is a great map to have. Very detailed and has all the forest roads on there.
