I see several posts from members talking about numerous recalls they've had! I discussed recalls with my Dealer and they reminded me that Toyota has never been forced to conduct a recall, they have been voluntary Campaigns and not Government mandated! This is another reason I purchase Toyotas and not from the big domestics. The big domestic companies tend to not to do anything unless forced too! I'm not taking away from the safety aspect of this discussion but feel it's only fair to remind others that Toyota's reputation plays a huge part in the companies success. My neighbor had problems several years ago with a GM product and GM would not help with the headgasket because it was out of warranty. I know a guy who just had a new shortblock put in his Toyota because they had a problem with the Headgaskets. I was impressed, as he has over 200,000 miles and is well out of warranty!
