I just installed new wheels and tires on my Sequoia, using the original sensors, and all is working well.

p.s. It's time you got another dealer. Yours is full of crap! They either don't know what they are doing, or they are crooks.
I'm looking at some new rims and want to use the sensors out of my existing stock steel rims.

Does the valve stem loosen from the outside of the rim and then drop into the tire?

And when you installed the sensors into you new wheels did they seal up again ok?
