Question North Padre - Anyone been camping there since Katrina?
We were thinking about heading down to North Padre in April, driving down Island and camping out there for a weekend. I've heard that parts of North Padre act as a trash can for debris in the Gulf, with all kinds of stuff getting washed up. Has anyone been there recently?

Any tips on oddball items to bring?
