I'd pay $2K - $3K extra for a hybrid - no more, and only on a lease. Now a turbo diesel hybrid that allowed for a bunch of extra oomph off the line and drastically increased mileage I might pay $6K - $8K for, just for the novelty. Still only on a lease. Plus, diesel in nice since its the only fuel that was available a day or two into the Hurricane Rita evacuation.


It would basically come down to the bottom line of payback on the investment over time, which at present, does not seem to be there unless the hybrid option is very cheap.
