I did install a switch to control the "fog lights" as described above. The switch is not an exact match but it works and has a light to tell when the lights are on. The switch could handle 15amps, but I connected the switch through the relay to keep the current down in the dash area. . The relay is not in the original socket but is secured inside the black box. The switch is from Toyota, part #00550-35976. You can see it at www.4x4wire.com/toyota/4Runner/tech/switch

I now have Daytime Running Lights that can be turned off at night if I so desire.
