Default Re: Rear Ended...Aftermarket Rear Bumper?

If you were not at fault, which is usually the case when you are rear-ended, then you shouldnt have to pay anything out of your own pocket. So you should get a brand new bumper, installed at no cost to you at all... period. That includes a rental car while the trucks in the shop. The heck with going with a used bumper or parts when you have someone elses insurance toting the bill. I dont know if you were thinking of doing that, so I wanted to throw that in, except if you want to collect the money for the new bumper and turn around and install a used one and pocket the rest. For me, I paid for a new truck so I want it to be in the same condition as it was before.

Anyhow, I havent seen much out there for aftermarket bumpers that caught my eye. I wouldnt mind eventually swapping mine out to a heavier duty bumper, but I dont want one that looks like it should be only installed on a trail rig.
