Hey, thanks for all your help, I ended up bringing it to a body shop (other work was needed) and he popped in the new bulb in a few minutes. I would have ended up destroying the car if I had tried it!
One more thing, where can I get a replacement volume knob for the radio. Mine is a little broken. The inside connector that holds it on the metal pipe is cracked so it is loose. I taped the inside together so it stays on. The knob is visible in the image
