well what you can do is have your insurance fix the crack FOR FREE. I've had my fj about 3 months and the windshield was cracked already, but my car ins. filled it for free. do you not have coverage for that...

also there was no deductible.

p.s. i used to have a wrangler too, which also cracked a few times. i think a lot of it is just luck, or the city you live in. since i've moved to phoenix from cleveland i've replaced 2 window. and on of the cars was a camaro,,,i can't think of a more sloped windshield.
