Default Sirius Installation

Got the Scion HU (1807) in my wife's 06 4Runner. Planning on adding the factory Sirius tuner, looking for any tips/advice. Thanks in advance.

I added XM and here's what I did;

Start at the tailgate and drop down the rear portion of the headliner. Mount your antenna between the tailgate and roof rack. On the inside on the tailgate between the hinges, you'll see a hole that you can fish the antenna wire through...then through the rubber wire loom then into the area where you dropped the headliner.
Note; Put a rubber grommet in the factory hole to protect the antenna wire. This will take a bit of fishing but it can be done.

Now remove the rear inside passenger side tailgate mirror and fish the wire down along inside the panel. Use zip ties to secure the wire to the rear window washer hose. Now keep fishing the antenna wire under/behind the cargo panel till you get to the passenger rear door. The door sills "snap" off so just pull that and run the wire along the other wires securing it with zip ties. Do the same on the passenger front door.....
Remove the passenger kick panel, glove box, etc. to access an open area by the blower motor housing to mount the receiver.
Now Vando, this is all providing you have enough antenna wire to make it from the back to the front.

Remove the center console area around the shifter, cup holders, etc., lower dash panel, HVAC controls and radio to get to your connections.

I'm sure I forgot something as it's been a while but thats the jist of it.

Good luck!

Not sure about the Sirius, but I just put an XM XMDTLK into my 05 T4R with a Scion T1807. Something is haywire, my HU will not recognize the sat install. Is yours working OK?
