I have heard that Toyota will deliver the 2003 4Runner SR5 models which will have the same color through out its body sometime in February.
Do anyone know if this is true or not? Also if this is true, is this feature on the SR5 models come as an optional upgrade or is it a standard package?
I like the red color for my future 4Runner SR5, but I don't like the gray cladding that goes around the body.

The white one Dianne has (or had?) was one they painted the cladding on. Dianne said in another thread that the painted cladding will not be available on white and one other color I can't remember right now. (Was red the other color?) Do a search for "cladding" and you should find that thread.
The body colored cladding will be an option, and is rumored to cost approximately $380, which sounds cheap to me.
Yep, I went back and looked at the thread titled "Specials!". Dianne said the body-colored cladding would not be offered in white, green or red. Mav, you better pick another favorite color if you want body-colored cladding.
In 2004 maybe Toyota will drop the Plastic stuff and just put the painted ones on, the 3rd Gen 4Runner had plastic cladding not as big though that was eventually done away with for the same type of cladding on Limiteds, some 3rd Gen Limiteds and SR5 look almost identiacal.
So far I have seen at least one Limited truck a day and only 2 SR5, the unpainted cladding had to hurt sales
here is the response from Dianne from the other post. Save you the time looking. I hope they use the smooth body panels that are on the limited and not the sr5 ones that have the indentations.

I haven't seen (in person) an SR5 or Sport where the dealer has painted the cladding, but I've been wondering how it will look since the gray plastic cladding has the ridges and indentations that are not in the cladding on the Limited. Like you, I certainly hope Toyota just uses the same cladding as the Limited. It's a good look.
