Default Who has modded their 03' already?

I'm thinking about a catback system but haven't done any research on which. I like the TRD catback on my Tacoma so I will probably go the same route on the Runner if it's offered. If not maybe some magnaflows w/dual exits in the corners. Anyone?

You have more mods then anyone I know of yet... Do you have any pics? I'm curious to know what the truck looks like w/out the running boards. I will keep you all posted if I do any mods as well. It will probably remain a stocker for the 1st 10kmi.

I'll try and take some pix!

The 4runner w/o the running boards looks alot beefier since it looks higher... ofcourse it won't help much but it does make it look like it's higher! woo hoo!

Here's a great pic of "20 yrs of 4runners - 4 generation in it's evolution"

hopefully it'll give ya some idea of how it looks w/o the running boards.

Thanks for the PICS. Your right it does look beefier w/out the running boards. I may have to do the same to mine now. BTW, the Jade looks awesome. My 99' Tacoma is the same color. I also really like the Jade 3rd Gen in the pics as well.

kaneman:

if you do take off the running boards...

make sure to spray the lug holes w/ some anti rust stuff... (forget what it's called)... or if you're lazy, just screw them back in... figure u'll never use them anyway!

Talking BOMB !

Just got my '03 and telling by the ground clearance, I'm gonna need a sturdy skidplate. That will definitely need to be mod #1. Anyone make one of for our Runners yet ?

Steve:

Don't think anyone has any aftermarket goods for our 4runners!

Btw, you are right about the stock skids, they suck! I've already banged them up pretty nicely to the point that it has some nice holes in ehe!

o well... you're best bet, take the running boards off as if you're planning to offroad in it, you'll be sure to bang em up bad enough that you'd wish you never had em.

gotta look into lifting it quite abit as it sit's pretty low right now.

word is:
saw - working on a set
ome - also making specific one's for 4runners - based on prado

as for other's i have no idea.

good luck and make sure you send some info down this way as we're all waiting for mod's!

Lance,

Thanks for the reply ! I'll keep an eye out for these, since you confirmed my worst fears. Just gonna need to be careful till they become available.

I heard that Daystar may be coming out with a lift for our Runners, but they are still in development. I dunno if I would go for them anyway, the ride is just about perfect the way it is.

I'll keep my eye's peeled for any good BOMBs for our Runners...

Steve
