Default replace stolen CatConverter, will check engine light turn itself off?

Hi,
I had one of the catalytic converters stolen out of my wife's 2006 v6 4runner. I've ordered a new one, and I'm just wondering if once it's been replaced, and the new O2 sensor is in, will the check engine light turn off after X number of starts? Or do I need to go to a dealer to have it turned off?

Thanks

It should go off by itself, if not disconnect the battery for a few minutes.
