Default 3rd row seats, not factory

I've been looking for options to add a 3rd row to my 4runner. Its not needed now, but hopefully it will be in the future. I know that there are not any current provisions for a rear seat, but I'm pretty handy and by that time my warranty will be long gone. I wanted a seat with an integrated shoulder harness to make removal easy and reduce the amount of fabrication to just mounting the seats.

Anyway, it appears that the 2008 H2 now has two third row seats instead of just one. These have the integrated shoulder harness and only weigh about 50lbs. It looks promising, but I'm not sure it will fit between the wheel wells.

If anyone has any other thoughts on possible doners, since the factory T4R seats are uber scarce, lets hear them.

I actually strapped a 2nd row seat from a 2002 ford windstar in this past weekend on a trip to cali. Fits amazingly perfect. Used ratcheting straps and secured them to the cargo tie downs to hold the seat in. I had to remove the brackets that were used to secure it to the floor in the minivan though as it sat way too high with them in there. The friends that had to sit back there were pretty comfortable. The only complaint was that it was too hot back there until we rigged up a fan. After that it was all good.

littlepassengerseats.com I have one for my 3rd Gen. It's tight for adults and needs a wrench to remove and install.
