Default replacing speakers in my 99 4runner sr5

Hey anybody know how to take the panels off the doors in a 1999 Toyota 4runner sr5? I need to find a way to get those off so I can replace the speakers, the door looks seamless, only thing I can think of is to stick a screwdriver in the cracks and pry it off, but thats always a bad idea

just took panel off a 07 4runner.
pull out on small triangle piece near mirror. remove small panel behind door opener, there is a screw behind remove screw. pull up on rear of armrest it should come off .remove srew behind armrest. the rest of panel is held on by christmas tree plugs (dont know tech term but that will do). take a door popper tool and pry out on bottom of panel . there are slots and this a good place. once you have popped one or two of plugs just pull out on sides of door rest will disengage . lift up on either corner to disengage top lip and your done. good luck!!! jeff Neal Road Rats, inc

Don't forget the trim around the door latch. The edges have clips. A panel tool is nice but a screwdriver works too. It lifts off at the window as roadrats said.

Usually, any car will have 3 screws to remove before prying the door panel off. Also, you're probably going to break some clips, so have those handy, too.

I'd also suggest going with Crutchfield for the speakers, since they send you all the harnesses and directions on how to put them in. Even live customer support. I always buy from them.
