05 Limited Sunroof Crapped Out

Just recently the wife's sunroof on her 05 4Runner Limited crapped out. We purchased the Toyota Platinum warranty for $880 from Troy at Toyota of Greenfield just before the warranty ran out in August. This isn't a sales pitch as I'm not affiliated, but it was the best $880 we spent. Free rental vehicle and repair covered 100% I asked the dealer how much it would have cost to repair the sunroof and he told me around $2500 He went on to say they have been seeing problems with that vintage 4Runner and the sunroofs going bad. Has anyone else here experienced this problem?

Ask them how come the Platinum warranty don't cover it that's what it's for I have the same warranty on my 06 tundra. If the warranty don't cover it then what's the point in having it. From what I under stand your 36K warranty is up am I correct so far ?

I reread it at first it sounded like they werent going to fix it ! My fault through I misread but I'm glad they treated you well and fixed ya 4runner.
