Can anyone tell me what to expect financially to replace a bad skid control ecu in my 2002 Toyota 4 runner with 71,000 miles. According to the dealership it's going to cost $2100.00. But I have others telling me to buy the parts at an auto parts store for the fraction of the cost. Any suggestions? As a widow raising 3 teenage boys, $2100.00 is not in my budget right now. I would like to examine all my options. Thank You.

Did they give you codes?
What was your complaint = ABS/Vsc light on?
Did you replace a battery recently?
Have you received a second opinion?
Sorry for all the questions, but I can shoot you a price for a Skid control Ecu @ discounted price, but hesitate until I know all the facts, because if it doesn't fix the issue,I cant take it back. (electrical part)

If you do actually need one I would try a wreckers before buying a new one from the dealer.
