Question 2000 V6 SR5 - shimmy while braking

My entire dashboard shimmies when I brake from high speeds. It is especially noticeable when I have a heavy load (read: a few passengers). From what I've read on here so far, it seems the rotors would be a good place to start. Has anyone else had this problem with their '00 Runner? Or does anyone else have a theory as to what is causing this? I haven't taken it into Toyota yet, thought I'd see what you guys thought, first.

You should probably take it to a reputable brake shop. Sounds like your rotors are warped. Rotor are fairly inexpensive and very easy to replace. Parts should run you around $45 each for the rotors and you should also replace the pads. You are looking at around $150 for parts and labor should be less than two hours.
