Default After Market Tow Hitch

I have just finished installing a U-Haul(Curt) trailer hitch(13445/78445) on a 2008 V6 4Runner. Went pretty smooth other than working around the small muffler, even once I finally got it loose from the rubber attachment. Surprisingly, all 8 of the bolt holes matched right up!!!! Anyway, my question is since the Curt didn't come with a bracket to mount the trailer light plug, where do I relocate it for easy access? Some of the after market hitches come with a bracket, for this purpose, mounted on the hitch tubing. I didn't see any compatible predrilled holes under the frame for the exiting plug & bracket assembly. Any simple solutions that you all know of? Do I have to drill my own holes in the frame or wherever all my own nuts/bolts?
Thanks to all for any responses. Bert

You can get a bracket that attaches with cable ties at any hitch store. Don't drill into the hitch. Another option is to get a bracket and attach it to the bumper or frame.

Does your new hitch allow you to use standard length ball mounts? That is one thing I don't like about the OE hitch is that the short bar doesn't fit well and rattles like crazy.

I was able to remove the bracket and straighten it just a little to give enough clearance for the plug to go in. That seemed to work out fine, so after all there was no need to re-locate it to another position or attach it anywhere else.

I did pick up a ball mount and appears to fit really well. I was somewhat concerned that the ball mount would get hindered by the spare tire, but there is plenty of room. Purchased the double ball from Harbor Freight with the 1 7/8 and 2" welded on opposing sides. Looks like it will suit my needs. Also, been using a hitch mount bike rack that comes in handy.
