Question Dome lights not working in "door" position

My wife has a 2005 Limited 4runner. She has been complaining that her dome lights have not been working. I attempted to fix them tonight but couldn't determine the problem. The running board and interior door lights come on when the door is opened. The only lights that do not come on are the dome lights. Both overhead lights are in the "Door" position. No lights are blown as they do work if you turn the switch to the "On" position. All door switches appear to work correctly. If I push in the switch the running board and interior door lights will turn off. I checked the 10A fuse as well. It is not blown either. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
