Attached is a link to a .pdf file, 2010 4Runner dealer order form. It contains detail info on the new model. The production is scheduled to start in Aug with estimated arrival date of late September to early Oct at the dealers.
Below is an older document on New 2010 features of Toyota line up. It has some additional info on the engine. As expected it is now Dual VVT-I with more horse but not much more torque.
Have seen your posts on edmunds as well, really appreciate you keeping us in on the loop. Any chance that you have info on the 2010 tacoma getting the updated engine?
Here are some alleged spy pics Car and Driver acquired of the redesigned 2010 4Runner at this link: 2010 Toyota 4Runner - Gallery
And here is some more info on it. Apparently it loses the V8 option in favor of a redesigned V6 and a 4 cylinder base option. One has to assume that the vehicle is lighter than previously if they will be offering a 4 banger in it. 2010 Toyota 4Runner – Spied - Car and Driver Blog
Guys... sorry for the bad quality pics... but at least there's pics.
I can't believe that I found those in a 2010 car guide today (since there's no pics anywhere).
Hope you enjoy.
WOW... Looks great!
I will try to talk the wife out of her LR2 and into one of these.
I had a 2004 4Runner and I loved it. I gave it up because it was leased and the residual was sky high.
While I LOVE my Sequoia, this would be an incredible 2nd car and probably much more fum than the Sequoia off-road.

I wont even consider another one due to no V8 option. That was stupid imo but I know they have to meet cafe regs and other stuff and they are not alone. Instead, I may look at a truck. I think its a shame because I really like my 03 and I love the V8 torque especially towing. I dont care what the hp rating is either I want to see the torque curves and there is no way a V6 can be as good.
Now that there are some real pictures of the 2010 4Runner available, I really do like the way it looks; it's off-road performance was never a question in my mind.
I still need to see one in person but I am just about sold especially since most vehicles, to me anyways, look better in person than they do in photos.

I agree. I was considering getting one to go with my '07 Tundra, but not with the V6. And with the bigger size, you would think that the new 4.6 V8 would be perfect for it. Oh well, guess I'll keep looking.
