Default Differences between 2004 and 2003 4Runners

Hi,

Does anyone know what are the differences between the 2004 and 2003 4Runners? From the exterior, they both look exact the same.

Thanks

Jack

Go to your local toyota dealer and get a spec hand out for both year models and compare and contrast. The only major difference is the third row seat is available in the sr5 and limited models for the 04's which was not an option in the 03's. Also the grey cladding is gone with the o4's thank goodness.

The TRD is already out. I have two friends that installed it on their 2003 4 runners with the v-8 --- amazing difference in power!!

ToyotaDan,

Do you know if you hear the supercharger "whine" inside the cabin?

I have the 3.4 TRD in my Tacoma, and the interior noise is excessive. I also have the TRD exhaust, and it's noisy too. I'm hoping the 4Rrunner is much quieter, as I'm looking to trade in my Taco on the 4Runner.

Any info greatly appreciated.
