Default 4th generation vibration at certain rpm's?

I read in a industry publication that on both the 4th generation 4runner and the new Lexus GX470 that there is a faint vibration through the steering wheel at certain engine rpm's. I noticed it on 2 of the GX470's and 3 of the 4runners I drove before I bought my 4runner (it also does it). It is not a big deal but the article said that the engineers in Japan were working on a fix, but it might be just part of the steering system design. Anyone here hear anything about this issue?
Thanks

I don't know about "Generations" but my 01 4runner has a slight vibration between 24-2600RPMs. I notice it in the shift lever and it doosn't matter if the truck is moving or not. Dealer said it was exhast harmonics. After 3 years, it has gone away, until someone posts about it here, then it comes back..

Don't know about this one, but someone on the GX forum over at Clublexus said they got a new exhaust when they complained about the sulfur smell problem that the 4Runner also has.

I've noticed a very faint vibration/buzz in the steering wheel at certain rpms. It doesn't bother me much, and I don't know anything further about it.

Default Vibrations

I have a 2004 V8 4Runner that has significant vibration in the steering wheel at 1400 RPMs and is even worse at 1800 RPMs, when it also vibrates the gas pedal and the dash. I drove a friend's 2003 Sequoia with the same engine and his has very mild, almost not noticeable, vibrations at the same RPMs. Anyone have any feedback on the source or solution of this problem? I have not yet taken it to my dealer since at 3000 miles it has just started to get bad.

Exclamation steering wheel vibration

steering wheel vibrations which come and go with speed are usally an out of balance tire or a tire getting ready to throw a belt.

No. This vibration is unrelated to tire problems. My new V8 4runner also makes a slight vibration in the steering at about 1800 rpm. I don't typically notice it much.
