Cant give you a yes or no answer.
All it means is toyota either changed it to the new gasket in the production line or doesnt think it will be affected. I do not know their qualifications for the SSC. If your worried call 1-800-331-4331 and ask them, its the toyota customer service line.

It appears the headgasket may have gone on my 1990 4Runner. I am the original owner and have just under 100,000mi.

First post! This forum rocks.

Just bought a '95 4Runner. Pretty good shape, aside from a dent in the front bumper that might be related to ALL of the headlight adjustment mechanisms being broken. Also a noisy exhaust leak on the left side I'll investigate this weekend. I'm quite happy though!

Anyway, my VIN is JT3VN29V5S0039563. If someone wouldn't mind looking it up to see if the recall work has been done, I'd be much obliged. I suppose I should have done my research *before* buying the truck, but I'm prepared to replace the gasket myself if needed....
