2006 4 Runner DRL Bulb Life

I'm usually hanging in the Tacoma forum but I have a co-worker who has a 06 4 Runner with DRLs. She's had it 5-7 months (3k-4k miles) and already replacing a second bulb (the other side). Anyone else having this problem?

I disabled my DRLs. She may want to check the voltage and make sure that it is not to high. It could just be bad luck.

hmm... tell her to wear gloves when she changes the bulb... possibly the oil in her hands is shortening the life of the bulb?

(small chance, but you never know.)

She's never touched either bulb... The two originals have now blown. She's now on the second bulb per side.
