Hey everyone i am a proud owner of a 1990 toyota 4 runner, unfortunatley my truck is falling apart and i am beginning to rebuild the whole thing. i have just hit 200300 miles and my transmission just went out. i got the truck as a present from my dad. he told me that if i could get it up and running that i could have it. within the first mont i dumped 3 grand into it, replacing the muffler system, waterpump thermostat, belts, sparkplugs, transfercase, catalynic converter, radiator, 6 hoses which cost me wayyy too much tires brakes and a new a/c unit. anyways i have got it running and within 2000 miles my tranny just went out. i was wondering if any of u guys new where i could get a rebuilt or new tranny for my truck i dont have $3400 which is what i was qouted for a new one from a online dealership, and am needing it done before i go to college. i am young but i have done everything i posted above by myself and am pround to say i have. my engine is a 3vze 3.o v6 sr5 edition and i really need some help. my parents are of no help because they said i could have it if i fixed it. so they are no help, so here is where i am turning to you guys, please help me!

Red face Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/4Runner Owners Introduce Yourself H

All,
I am not new, but I have never posted. My car was a 1992 Cressida, which is now owned by my friends in Molokai HI. My wife and I just visited them 2 weeks ago. I got to drive my 92Cress again. It still is a great machine. Unfortunately, the moist air in Molokai is causing the left rear panel under the trunk lid to rust. It is going fast.
However, I still own a 1997 4X4 4Runner Limited (great machine) so I am still a Toyota fan. My wife now drives a 2001 525i BMW. I can hardly get her out of her car; she loves it. So I drive the 4Runner!

Howdy. I'm a new member and proud owner of a 1996 Toyota 4Runner SR5. It only has 110K on it and is still going strong and the best part of all is: it's paid for! I'd like a new(er) vehicle, but have to wait a couple of years. Actually, I'm considering a V8 Sequoia but I have read so-so reviews about their towing capabilities. I have a 22 foot boat that is pushing 5000+lbs and my V6 4Runner just can't handle that kind of load on the highway, so I don't take it on any long trips. In any event, I look forward to learning a few things on the forum. Thanks, Mark.

Purchased a 2004 Sport Edition 4WD V-8 4.7L with 20,300 miles for just under $23,000. It came out to like $22,950. Came with the factory TRD S/C. No moonroof which i wish it had. But everything else is the standard JBL audio etc etc.

I love it and has lots of power. Just waiting to tow and haul stuff now. lol. Ill trailer my IS300 to track days now.

Hello All,
Just purchased my first 4Runner, a 2001 SR5. I have had 2 Tacoma's in the past, a '98 and an '04. Love my Toyota's! I am still learning about 4Runner's and I'll be sure to ask lots of stupid questions; But I WILL search first.

Hi guys,
I own a 1997 4Runner that is my DD. I've built it to handle some off-higway travel as well.

Talking Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/4Runner Owners Introduce Yourself Here!

Hi,
I just stumbled across this forum while looking for some info about my JBL radio. I'm glad I found this, it looks very informative.
This is the first Toyota I ever owned, so far I do not believe it will be the last. I bought a 2005 4runner Sport Edition back in March of 06.
I love the way it rides and handles on the road. The sound system is killer, since I like Roack&Roll the jam is always running. I'm an avid Bass fisherman and this 4runner is great for everything I use it for especially pulling my boat.
I hope that's enough information about me.
Thanks
Bigguys4runner

hey there ladies and gentlemen, I am new to your forum but not new to toyota products. I recently purchased my 4th.
although I currently do not own a tundra, I am in the market for a suitable tow vehicle/daily driver.

I want to stick with Toyota for obvious reasons because they have been very good to me.

I currently own a 2002 tacoma 4x4, 1985 4 runner 4x4 and a 1988 4runner 4x4 (not running)
the '85 is my play toy and has amazed me on how tough it is on a few occasions. I used to offroad the heck out of my 2002 tacoma, but now that I have the 4runr I need a v8 to pull it around Texas, as my v6 is strugling.

well, the name is Jeff and I am working offshore as a crew boat capt so I am allover the gulf coast.

Default I am New Member: rx with question about mirrors. Thanks!

Hello ALL
I am happy we (wife actually) found this site.We are in the process of outfitting our '01 Limited (54k mi.) for travel from Atlanta area to Pittsburgh area and pick up our new travel trailer. We have installed a Draw Tite class 3, and Prodigy brake controller and will use an Equal-i-zer. The TT is a Sunline Que,18' x 7' wide, GVWR 3500 lbs. While we have researched the Internet up one side and down the other, niether of us has any experience with this sort of thing. Any suggestions for a couple of rookies is welcome and I have a specific question about mirrors: We have almost decided to purchase McKesh mirrors. However, since the TT is 7' wide do we really need the mirrors? Thanks for any suggestions. We are very much looking forward to a new adventure.

Hi, my name is charlie, and I'm new to this forum. I think this will be an interesting forum, from what I see. Hope to communicate with other members. I just bought a 1999 tacoma. It's not the first toyota I've owned. They make great vehicles. The cruise control does not work, so I'm going to search the forums to see if I can find some answers.

Hi All!
I used this site back in 2000 when I bought my Tundra LTD , but have since sold her and moved on to a 2005 4Runner LTD as of October . I love it so far! Of course I bought is used with only 9,000 miles and in perfect condition. I have all the features with the V8. And of course, like many of the members here, I'll probably do some upgrading and modifying. I look forward to chatting with you all!
Thanks!
