Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/4Runner Owners Introduce Yourself H
Hey there gang. Our family just converted to Toyotas. I used to drive an Infiniti i30t but got t-boned by a Ford F250. With the insurance payout and selling the salvage vehicle myself, I was able to pick up a 1998 4runner SR5 V6 4wd. My wife switched from an Acura Integra to a Toyota Corolla last year.
Anyway, found this site by searching for answers to my 'check engine' light dilemma. Just installed an aftermarket WeaponR air intake a few days ago and read a posting here that a dirty MAF sensor might be the culprit...I hope.

Hey Guys Just joined the forum after lurking for a few months.
Previously Had a 1999 4Runner highlander which did me well for 4 years but got in an accident and was written off by insurance. I now have have my present rig a black 2003 4runner Limited edition. Loving it so far. Have learned A lot from this site so far and will be doing some mild modding in appearance and comfort.

Hello all, new to this forum, a recent convert from audiworld, so the world of toyota trucks is new to me, and I'm hoping a welcome change to the frequent trips to the mechanic with the audi! I am not planning to make a ton of mods to my new 4runner, but the first thing I plan to do is the 3.4 liter supercharger, and I was hoping the folks on this forum might point me in the right direction to have someone install this in the greater Boston, MA area...Any input is welcome, thanks in advance!!!
Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/4Runner Owners Introduce Yourself Here!
Greetings to all. For over twenty plus years my wife and I have driven a 4 Runner. We leased them and and swapped out every 3-4 years for a new one. While at the dealership getting my daughter an 07 Corolla, I mentioned that I wanted another vehicle (used-SUV type) for myself to use in my second job. Knowing the high resale value for Toyota's, I didn't think I could afford any type of 4 runner.
To shorten this down a bit. The parts manager was selling his 2000 4 Runner Limited 4WD, 115,000. We were able to work out a deal and now I have my own 4 Runner (I never got to drive the other 4 runner much-wife's vehicle).
Kudo's to Boyle Toyota in Sumter SC for making this all come together.
Sorry if this was a little too much information....

The reason I joined is to look at a TSB for a brake problem my 2004 4-runner has. the brakes work fine, but pedal can be pushed all the way to the floor so it is a bit disconcerting. The local dealer checked it out and could not find anything wrong. I was still concerned and found a Toyota TSB BR004-06. Your experience would be helpful.
Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/4Runner Owners Introduce Yourself Here!
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this site, and also a new owner of a 2000 Toy 4Runner Limited. I had to go with the 2000 model because I just love the old body style. I am a former service tech for toyota, but I finally got tired of the high pressure sales pitch that we had to give to every customer. So know I am back to being a bodyman for a BMW collision center here in Atlanta.
Anyhow just wanted to say Hi, and that I love my 4runner. It's the best vehicle I have ever owned, and trust me I've owned alot.
Re: Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/4Runner Owners Introduce Yourself Here!
Hi, I bought a 2003 4 runner in February of this year and I have yet to have that "exciting new car" feeling. Within 2 weeks, my truck was in the shop for a transmission issue.
I just recently brought in for a mile maintenance service and had to replace my right caliper because it was sticking....I am still hearing a thud. Now something is squealing when I press the brake pedal. I also am noticing a humming when I press on the brake and it will last for approximately 3-5 seconds. Today was the first day I turned on the AC and I heard another noise coming from the engine. I am slowly becoming frustrated with my dealer and the truck itself. Any advice?

Hello All
After driving numerous Toyota Trucks for years at work, finally took the plunge and got myself a 2000 4Runner, SR5 V6, 5 sp. I got it in February from a local Dealer with 55,000 miles on it.
Toyota newbie here..after 6 yrs with a Honda Accord..now '04 Solara.
So far I am happy with my '04 Solara..being biased towards Honda I am very very impressed with the quality...it made me a Toyota lover right away. Few detail quirks here and there but the same with the Accords I've owned.

Hello,
I've purchased a 2003 limited 4runner 6 months ago, and up to now I'm quite thrilled with the car!
I live in Angola (west Africa) and I found the car to meet all my needs. As for the isolation here I think I'll be requiring your guys' help quite often!
