4RunnerGeneral discussion forum for the Toyota 4Runner.
This is a discussion thread titled "Welcome to TundraSolutions.com! - New Members/4Runner Owners Introduce Yourself Here!", within the 4Runner forum, part of the SUV Forums category.
Just picked up my 2004 4Runner yesterday. It is a V8 with the 5 speed automatic and Titaninum Color. I am a first time Toyota owner and was VERY impressed with the build quality, ride, low cabin sound level over various roads and the smoothness/acceleration of the V8 and 5 speed. All of this plus the towing capabilities made the 4Runner stand out for me. My dealer (Tri-County Toyota) was a pleasure to deal with and the "extended" test drive I had made me feel very comfortable with my purchase decision.
My brother's very positive comments about their 2000 4Runner and how it has performed, trouble free for 60K+ miles also helped.
Awesome color choice. I was also a first time owner back in 2002 with my Tundra. You won't regret your choice in manufacturer. Don't forget to take some pictures and post them up. Hi Everyone - Just came across this site while looking for rims for my 4runner. I picked it up Christmas Eve as a tax write off and so my 3 Series could be a garage queen .
Hey Tony... that sounds like one SWEET Runner! Hope to see some pics of it soon!

Just traded in my 03 SR5 V6 4wd Gallactic Gray for 05 Sport V8 4wd Titanium Metallic. Wow, what a great vehicle. Can't wait to get past the "breakin" and get out on the interstate and put it through the paces. Any advice on 1st oil change or tranny fluid change regarding number of miles? It has 250 miles on it now. Anyone know if the 4wd Sport V8 (tow rated 7000lbs.) has a transmission cooler installed? How about a heavy duty alternator? Love this forum and it was instrumental in my decision to get the V8 Sport.
Just bought a used 2003 4Runner SR5 with 24k miles from my local dealer. Love it and awesome and comfortable ride!
Anyway, I'm looking to get a rear spoiler for it (wife wants that), hitch bike carrier (Yakima or something), and get a 2nd set of keys/alarm button (only came with one set), and a owner's manual. Any suggestions on obtaining these items, particularly the spoiler, owner's manual, and key/alarm?
ebay should be able to take care of your needs. You will probaby get the best deals there. You could go through your dealer, but it would cost considerably more.
