Hi all, have a 91 4runner, older 3vze engine 3.0 V6, 4x4, still running strong, had the engine rebuilt last year. Put on some mudders (dunlop 31") kept me on the road and safe with the wife and kids last weekend coming back from Bear Mountain. It's a beater but still useful when I'm by myself or with the boys and taking out some toys (jetski & ATC(another oldie but goodie)), and of course our trips into Mexico for Lobster in Puerto Nuevo and Fish Tacos in Ensenada. Have a little over 180K miles on it, bought it used for play two years ago.
You have to share some more stories with the 4-runner crowd. Oldies are sometimes the best. Pop in any time you want too.
Since you have both a Tundra and 4-Runner, you may find yourself a little busy with posting . A true sign of a Toy-fanatic.
Well, I've had my '03 4Runner since March 2003, but I've never introduced myself here so here goes...
It's a 2003 Silver V6 SR5 4x2. Mods include:
K&N Filtercharger
20" MB Motoring Express Rims
295/45/R20 Geforce T/A KDW2 tires
Dark Tint
Removed running boards (gives it a "sportier" look)
StreetGlo Turquoise Neon Underbody kit
Pioneer AVIC-N1 NAV/DVD/CD/MP3 Head unit
And all the speakers and amps to go along with it
You will usually spot me towing an '87 Buick Grand National with it to the race track...
Been looking for Houston area shows to bring it to (nothing too fancy, just your normal Saturday night get-togethers).... Seems like everyone is getting shut down lately...
I live in Houston and I think I can help you out with some hang-out spots for your sweet GN - do you want to drive it to a place, or tow it?
On Saturday evenings (usually around 7 pm) a lot of classic/muscle cars show up at Hwy. 6 and I-10 (at the Sam's Club). Your usual attendees are vehicles of this nature...
If that doesn't suit you, there may be another group get-together called the "Highway 6 cruisers Club." They usually hang the first weekend of the month around 290/hwy 6 area. I don't know how familiar you are with Houston, but there are some decent spots to kick back... that is until the idiots with their annoyingly loud cars show up
You should post up some pics of the whole tundra/grand national setup

I took the 4Runner out to Sam's at I-10 @ 6 this past saturday. I think the weather scared most people off. Not much there when I arrived... But the guy who owned the orange '43(?) dually was there with his mustang... I forgot his name already... If the weather holds out, i'll drive the GN out there this weekend. Finally got another inspection sticker and some decent street tires on the back so it'll be fun to drive again.... Maybe I'll see ya out there....
Here are some pics... As you can see, none of my vehicles are spared from making a pass at the track...
I'm new to the forum scene (obviously), but I've had my 4Runner since October 2002. It's a Black 2003 Sport V8 4WD and I'm already at 48,000 miles.
Only one fairly minor "mod" for me so far... I installed a PIE adapter to the JBL 6-disk factory head unit in order to have a line-level aux input for my iPod.
Right now, I'm trying to make a couple of decisions:
- Tires (BFG AT KO vs. Bridgestone Dueler AT REVO)
- Which Toyota navigation head unit (2004 Camry Solara NAV, 2005 4Runner NAV, etc.) would work best with the JBL 10-speaker system and amp
Welcome to Tundra Solutions sandlappertiger It would be great to see that mod. You will find plenty of info on tires here. Just picked up my '05 SR5 4WD 4runner yesterday. Looking to put my stereo equipment from my previous car into the 4runner first and then onto some performance mods.
