Pretty easy to take the door panel off. Mine is a liftback with power windows.
Just pull the light color trim pieces off starting at the top, disconnecting the power window harness from the center one. There are four screws to remove – one on the door latch and three under the trim you just removed. Then pull the door panel off starting at the bottom and lifting off at the top. There are two cables to the door latch to slip off – just don’t forget to reconnect them first when you reinstall or you’ll lock yourself inside (not that I’d be that stupid
).
