It's one thing to pull out of the dealership right in front of an oncoming bus and take a t-bone to the side and ask for Joe Dealership to serve you up a free one on them.
It's an entirely different thing having a pebble the size of a gnat turd tick a windshield resulting in the structural collapse of the glass as if it were hit with a sledgehammer.
The company (Toyota), and those selling their products (i.e. the dealership) need to stand behind their products. Accidents happen, but when something this new has this many people encountering the same exact problem on this large of a scale, it screams of an engineering design flaw and a serious lack of QA testing.
If the tires blew out everytime we hit a bump, would you be making the same sarcastic statement?
