I also lost a smart key and got one on
ebay. Went to the dealer to program it and they could only make it start the car, no remote control, etc. They stated that the codes for the keys are different depending on where the car was purchased. My key came from California and was unused since the original car was totaled. I guess we have to be careful on what we get.
