What I would do is look for a "gently used" 05 V6 ext. cab. As long as you aren't going to be towing or hauling heavy loads, you don't really need the V8. By getting a 1-year old car, you still have some warranty time remaining, and you'll save money.

I would never buy a 100k+ mile vehicle that would be used as a daily driver, no matter who it's made by.
