Default Re: RAV4 2006 tire pressure reset button?

There is no reset button or procedure to do on the '06, it's a different system than previous models. The TPMS lamp should go out when the proper air pressure in all tires is detected. Too much pressure will cause it to light also. The low threshold is somewhere in the 24-27lb range, dunno what the upper limit is, but one member at R4W had 44lbs, IIRC, and the lamp wouldn't go out until he dropped it back down. Some members run 38lbs and get away with it, but I run the recommended 32lbs and don't have any problems. Out of spec tire pressure does not cause the maintenance required lamp or the MIL to light up, see page 161 of the owner's manual. The maintenance required lamp will light up every 5000 miles as a reminder to change the engine oil, see page 136 of the manual for reset instructions.
