Your input is of interest. I was unaware that dealers were able to install the navi in the TCH. My car(US version) came with it installed as it was built in Japan. The Canadian mapping is standard in the US car, not so in the Honda system. We drove to Fairmont Hot Springs, Revelstoke and back to Victoria without a glitch. You have already found that the Toyota system is not the industry leader, Honda is. There is a substantial price differential however. Did the Nanimo dealer give you any idea when the new database would be available? I have discovered quite a few missing U.S. highway components and am anxious to get a new disk.
