I changed mine at 100mi with fresh dino oil, then again at 1900 with syn. Anything that is going to come loose in a new engine (burs, shavings, sealant, etc) is going to do so right away. There's really no sense in letting it stay in there for thousands of miles. Very very cheap insurance to get some fresh oil in there ASAP.
