Re: Safety Recall!
Hi everyone. I am new to this forum and I live in Orange County California and just took my '04 Tundra in for its 30K major mileage. They called and said my pads are worn down to 2 1/2 mm, I was like ok replace them. Then a friend of mine called and said something about a recall that I never received a notice for and on here its about the lower ball joint. I asked the service guy and he asked if I had the recall letter and I said I was told to have him cross reference my vin number and he called back saying that there was no OPEN recalls. So now I am a little freaked out. My question is, was there once a recall on my truck that I was never informed of and now its to late and second, what can I do about it now? I know that after 30K I def need new brakes but did they wear down like that on there own or from help with the lower ball joint causing my front end to shake and cause the brakes to be affected. I need some help please. I want to march in there and be like look. I never received a notice. Nobody called me and if something goes wrong I am hiring a lawyer. What should or even can I do.
