Default Re: Volant Cold Air Intake Reviews...

I installed the Volant Cold Air intake in my 2005 DC around 20,000 miles. There is not much performance difference, Toyota already has a pretty good cold air intake installed off the shelf. This feeder pipe is the same diameter, and you are drawing air in the same hole in the wheel well, although the Volant air box does have another hole that intakes from behind the head lamp. My biggest concern was that the air box is held in place with just one bolt, I was certain this would shift around. Nearly 10,000 miles later and no problems. I did notice a much deeper growl on acceleration, and marginal increase in mid-range acceleration (or at least I thought I did, hard to how much was placebo effect). The install was easy even for someone like me, who prefers to pay others to do the work.

2005 Tundra Double Cab Mods:
Volant Cold Air intake
JBA Headers
Magna-Flow muffler
Custom cat-back dual exhaust (side exit behind rear wheels)
Weston Chrome nerf bars
Access lite-on roll up tonneau cover
Driver side windows tinted to match privacy glass
