Exclamation Re: Ball Joint Campaign - Canadian Version

Let me illuminate the issue more.

NHTSA Probes 600,000 Toyota Trucks and Vans

My KM is 120,000 which is the same as the average milage of the 142 tundras (at that time) which had experienced suspension failures. Let me tell you from personal experience what happens. The ball joint shears off without warning and you lose a wheel. Result in my case, a crash. Coud have been much worse...think about a high speed crash like this on the congested commuter highway where you have a complete loss and no steering control. The Service manager I took it into called me back and said Toyota Canada was going to repair all the damage at their cost and replace the other ball joint that didnt fail as well. So does this mean that I wont be so lucky to survive another crash in another 120,000 km or will there be a new maintenance program to replace these at a certain amount of km use.

If you look at the web link of the article, I expect another major recall. You should be able to click it, if not I can email you the article.

Would you want it to have been your wife driving with kids in the vehicle? Act Now.
