Well, I'm starting to think this 5.7 may be the same block as the 4.7, but just built from aluminum. Look at the bore and stroke. Both have the same bore size of 3.70. the only thing different is the stroke, 4.7 is 3.31, 5.7 is 3.74. This is similar to what gm does with their vortecs, increase stroke.
