Unhappy Re: Solara Questions - ASK ME! - 04 Solara left pull/drift

Hi,

Thanks for volunteering to answer our questions. I am a newbie to this forum and I just bought a used '04 Solara V6 SE this weekend. I bought it from Carmax and I am within the five day period where I can return the car if not satisfied.

I drove around 200 miles during the last two days and I noticed a left pull/drift while going straight on highways. Initially I thought it might be an alignment problem and was thinking about taking it back to Carmax service.

Later on after some research, I found that there was a Toyota Service Bulletin for this problem for 04/05 Camrys and Solaras, and I did find find my VIN # falling in the range of VINs mentioned in the TSB.

My dilemma at this point is whether I should keep the car and get it serviced according to the TSB or just go ahead and return it because of this problem.

I just love the car otherwise, it drives like a dream. I am really confused at this moment.

Please advise.
