j/king of course, most of my family lives in AB & BC, and my father just got his US citizenship a few years ago...

btw, it wasn't too long ago that I knew ppl were going across the border into Canada to buy Honda Odysseys as they were ~$6-8K cheaper after currency conversion. I was told by a Honda dealer I was in contact with that it was b/c of the Canadian economy and that most ppl could not afford to pay the same prices they could charge in the US. The dealers kept conversion kits onhand and installed for ~$400 -- good deal if you were in the market for a minivan that was $25-35K (I was at one time, although never went through with it). I believe the US auto dealers successfully lobbied the gov't to close the loophole recently by taxing the crap out of importing them in...
